CRICCIETH’S Starlight Players are putting the finishing touches to this year’s pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, which starts tomorrow night (Thursday).
Producer and director Melissa Minnice has worked hard to bring this latest Starlight Players’ production together but she feels it worthwhile as it could prove to be their most dazzling show yet.
The sets are being constructed, the costumes are being sewn and rehearsals are intense with Disney granting the group permission to sue songs from the famous musical.
Preparations started about a year ago when an application for the licence to perform was sought never really believing the small amateur company would actually get it – but it pays to have big aspirations!
The pantomime will be performed at Criccieth’s Memorial Hall from 21 to 23 January.
