So it looks like the Prime Minister is to take some criticism over his dealings with the pandemic.
The fact is the whole world was ill prepared for it. There needs now to be a set rule on isolation and containment in airports and ports, with hospitals taking the lead on this.
These measures should have been sorted well before a pandemic reared its head, with stockpiles of medical protection in store has standard.
There was a warning by eminent scientists that a pandemic was due, with no-one taking much notice. I’m sure with hindsight, the death toll would have been much less.
We are extremely lucky to have good scientists who have saved the day, and we have almost returned back to normal. And in this instance patience did prevail.
• Just as I predicted there has been a giant build up of discarded rubbish since bin collections were cut. Even countries are passing the buck and exporting their rubbish abroad.
There needs to be a think tank on this – our world depends on it.
With the summer coming with flies and bugs on the increase, it seriously needs to be sorted. We have already had a pandemic of serious proportions. And the build up of dumped rubbish will obviously create more germs for us to breathe in. In this technical world we live in surely we could solve the problem of waste disposal?
