Madam,

A number of your contributors and people you have quoted recently seem to have forgotten important things about this country, following the Brexit vote.

We are one of the richest countries in the world and we are democratic.

We don’t need to pretend to receive money from some source other than our own taxpayers and we don’t need to devolve part of our democracy to an organisation that has failed in so many ways.

Public figures who can’t accept these messages from the electorate should consider their positions.
