On 17 October, many pets with their owners came to St Celynnin’s Church, Llwyngwril for the second annual pet service.
There was a relaxed atmosphere and all pets, large and small, were well behaved — the owners weren’t too bad either!
Rev Lindsay Ford said that some may consider such a service with scepticism but he found it very meaningful.
“After all”, he said, “the patron saint of animals, St Francis, wants us to worship and glorify God in all his creation and our pets invoke in us grateful hearts.”
St Celynnin’s hopes to open its doors to welcome all pets again in October 2016.
