THE Ffestiniog Railway turned back time to celebrate its annual Victorian weekend.

The railway has been running passenger trains since Victorian times and many of those older vehicles have been lovingly preserved.

The weekend is a way for the community to celebrate those times and this year, a whole host of activities were on offer.

From horse-drawn carriage rides, a Victorian market, slate splitting, crafts, magic and a barrel organ, there was plenty to see and do with several of the visitors dressed appropriately for the era.

A special train ride was held on the Friday night, where passengers were told traditional Welsh tales on their journey from Porthmadog to Tan-y-Bwlch, aimed at celebrating Wales’ Year of Legends.
