A call for an extension to a Ceredigion home which will provide access for a disabled child was given the go-ahead by county planners.

An application recommended for approval at the September meeting of Ceredigion County Council’s development management committee sought permission for a single-storey extension, to provide an accessible bedroom and shower room for a disabled child at Temple Pan, Felinfach.

An officer’s report said: “The proposal is for the construction of a single-storey extension, to provide an accessible bedroom and shower room for a disabled child.

“A timber platform and ramp would also be added.

“Given its limited scale and single storey form, the extension will not appear visually dominant or incongruous within the site or wider area.

“Furthermore, the accessibility ramp and platform are functional additions which are modest in scale and are not considered to detract from the appearance of the dwelling or surrounding area.”
