Plans for a new home in Ffosyffin have been recommended for refusal by Ceredigion County Council planning officers.

The scheme for a new build home on land at Ty Pwll will go before the council’s Development Management Committee on 9 September.

A council planning officer report said that while the proposed location of the four bedroom house is considered sustainable, “only proposals comprising 100 per cent affordable housing would be considered policy compliant on this site.”

“Whilst a financial contribution towards affordable housing would be secured, this does not alter the nature of the development, which remains open market housing,” the report added.

The report adds that “Ffosyffin has already exceeded its planned level of housing growth under the adopted Local Development Plan.”
