PLANS to create 16 two-storey holiday homes near Llanbedrog have been refused by planners.
The applicant, Jitty Trehan, has submitted an outline application to construct 16 new holiday units on Glynllifon land.
Llanbedrog Community Council unanimously agreed to object to the application after claiming that the development was totally unsuitable for the area and was in contrast with the landscape and the environment.
The council members also raised concerns about the impact approving the application would have on local people who need a house or those who have been refused permission previously.
They also noted that the land proposed for the development is close to the busy A499 road, near a dangerous bend, where several accidents have occurred.
Gwynedd Council’s planning committee refused the application during a meeting earlier this month.
