Many thanks to the Cambrian News (15 December) for the photo of the key players in Pwllheli’s Hwyl yr Wyl’s dedicated organising team, who year after year deliver the goods by staging such a popular, spectacular, two-day event in the centre of Pwllheli.

As I don’t get out that often, I didn’t recognise many of Hwyl yr Wyl’s “dream team” in the colourful photograph, but I spotted long-serving councillor Alan Williams (Pwllheli’s one-time mayor) in the forefront. During the hectic Hwyl yr Wyl weekend, this veteran politician must have covered as many miles as a rugby referee.

Hopefully, this stunning November event will continue to grow in popularity.
