Re: Cambrian News, 28 January, the Trawsfynydd cat found. How lucky to have been reunited with a lost cat.And to have such caring people to take time to locate the owner who must have been distraught at having lost a much-loved pet.

I have not been that lucky. My cat (Min) vanished from Cwmllinau in the Dyfi Valley on the afternoon of Monday, 5 October, last year and was never found.

A much-loved pet, 13 years old, black and white, and a bit of a character, well known in the village.

Can I suggest that cat owners get their cats micro-chipped so that missing cats can be reunited with their owners? There are so many delivery and works vehicles about these days and cats are so curious and nosy. I think it is the only way forward to save future heartache as a result of the vanishing act of a much-loved pet.
