I recently shared this poem with friends on Facebook. One of them suggested I share it with the Cambrian News:

Hope

The plague, it is upon us We know not whence it came An evil, silent killer Coronavirus is its name

A disease that does not distinguish Will spell the end for some But the real danger is born of ignorance

Because the worst has yet to come

The streets are all but empty No longer paved with gold Lives disrupted and suspended All future plans on hold

Front line staff, we all salute you The bravest of the brave The NHS our one true saviour From the cradle to grave

But everyone must do their bit Try not to gripe and moan Protect our family, friends and colleagues, And make sure we stay at home

The future remains uncertain So let us symbolically embrace And make a firm commitment To make our world a better place
