Police are appealing for help locating a privately owned eagle which has been missing from rural Carmarthenshire for more than a week.
The grey buzzard-eagle, also known as a Chilean buzzard-eagle, was last known to be in the Crugybar area, near Llanwrda, on Sunday, 25 October.
Dyfed-Powys Police's Rural Crime Team confirmed that enquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the bird's disappearance.
Officers said there have been no confirmed sightings or further developments since the eagle was reported missing.
Members of the public who encounter the bird are being urged to observe it quietly from a distance and, where possible, take photographs or video footage.
Police have also advised people to keep dogs and other members of the public away from the bird.
Anyone spotting the eagle should look for identifying features, including rings attached to its legs.
Officers have asked witnesses to note whether the bird appears alert and active or displays signs of injury, visible wounds or unusual behaviour.
The grey buzzard-eagle is a species of bird of prey native to South America, where it is also commonly known as the black-chested buzzard-eagle.
Anyone with information or potential sightings is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police, providing a what3words location where possible.
The police reference number is DP-20261030-103.
