A PARLIAMENTARY Select Committee looking into the implications of Brexit for Wales is to be held in Aberystwyth on Monday.

The House of Commons Welsh Affairs Select Committee, of which Ceredigion MP Mark Williams is a member, is to hold an inquiry at Aberystwyth University on Monday, 28 November.

And the committee, which will look at the impact of Brexit on agriculture, Welsh language, the arts, higher education and EU grants, are asking people from the Aberystwyth area to attend to help inform the committee’s report.

The invitation states: “The EU referendum saw 52.5 per cent of voters in Wales choose to leave the EU.

“In terms of negotiating the UK’s exit from the EU it is still early days for the new Government.

“However, it is important that Wales has a voice during this process, and that the implications for Wales are considered.”

The inquiry will take place between 11am and 1pm at Medrus 1, Penbryn Building.
