A FORMER postal worker has ascended to vice-chair of Gwynedd Council despite the fact she has only been actively involved in politics for three years.
Cllr Annwen Daniels, who represents the Bowydd and Rhiw district in Blaenau Ffestiniog, was also elected as chair of the Ffestiniog Town Council last week.
Cllr Daniels, who started work as a councillor for Gwynedd about 18-months ago, first became a town councillor for the Ffestiniog district three years ago after working as a postal worker for 20 years.
She was thrilled to be able to serve her community.
“I’m looking forward to stepping up and doing all I can for residents in Blaenau Ffestiniog and people right across Gwynedd,” she told the Cambrian News.
