A FESTIVAL of food will be held in Aberdyfi this weekend.
The Aberdyfi Food Festival is back by popular demand for its third year and will be held on the wharf in the centre of the village on Saturday.
The festival will feature cookery demonstrations by leading local chefs as well as the opportunity to sample and purchase a wide range of Welsh produce.
It is free of charge and will be open from 10.30am-16.30pm and will also feature a ‘Craberdyfi’ crabbing competition for youngsters.
Michelin-starred chef Gareth Ward from Ynyshir Hall is the special guest and he will get the cookery demonstrations underway at 11am in the theatre kitchen, where he will showcase his culinary skills.
Other local chefs and suppliers will also be putting on demonstrations throughout the day.
Event organiser Neil Storkey said: “The food festival has been incredibly popular over the past couple of years and is now firmly established as one of the highlights of Aberdyfi’s summer season."
The Aberdyfi Food Festival is sponsored by the Aberdyfi Community Council.
