AT THE January meeting, president Margaret wished everyone a Happy New Year, congratulated Kathy Batten on her son’s marriage and for becoming a great grandmother again. She also sympathised with Nesta Hughes on the loss of her brother, and hoped Audrey Askew was getting better at Ysbyty Gwynedd. The speaker was Dr Alison Neisser who gave an informative talk about dementia and the ongoing research into its cause and treatment.The prayer was read by Jacqui Thomas and the In-ternational Toast to Morava, the only club in the Czech Republic.Final arrangements were made for the Soup and Sweet lunch to celebrate World In-ner Wheel day on Friday.The next meeting will be on Monday, 8 February.
Cylch Meithrin
CYLCH Meithrin have thanked the community for their kind donations in the last few months. Thanks were especially given to the staff at Tesco Porthmadog for helping the group to raise £389 by holding a bake sale, Huws Gray for donating materials for a play house for the children and to Josie from the Station Inn for donating £500 from the weekly bingo.
