AFTER a lovely lunch at Jennie’s, president Margaret started the meeting by thanking everyone for their help in making the tombola at the Ganolfan a success. She had also received a call from past member Gwyddfid, who had phoned to thank the club for the ‘Flower Card’ she’d received. The prayer was read by Barbara Heys and the International toast to the Sorrento club, Italy, given by Nesta Hughes. The president’s street stall by the park will be on Thursday, 2 June, with proceeds going to Breast Cancer Wales. A beetle drive was then held with much fun and laughter. The president Margaret was the overall winner and treasurer Katharine Dobson received the booby prize.The AGM will be held at the next meeting on Monday, 13 June, when money collected will be allocated to different local charities.

Golf club

THE Ladies’ Section will be holding a coffee morning in aid of funds at the Club on Thursday, 2 June, from 10am.Entrance is £1, children 50p to include coffee and biscuits. There will a number of stalls including tombola, raffle, cakes, books and crafts.
