At the June meeting of Porthmadog Inner Wheel, president Margaret Humphreys welcomed everyone. She had visited several members who were ill and taken flowers, cards and the club’s good wishes to them. Margaret also thanked everyone for helping at the street stall, which raised funds for two charities, Breast Cancer Wales and Action for Hearing Loss. Colin Evans, area co-ordinator for the latter was then presented with their cheque. The rest of the money in the charity fund was then allocated to seven local charities. The candle of friendship was lit by Renee Fraser, Theresa Lampert read the prayer and Jacqui Thomas gave the International Toast to the Inner Wheel Club of Barbezieux, France. The annual general meeting was then held, with various reports being read, proposed and seconded. The next meeting on Monday, 4 July, will be the handover.
