Members of Extinction Rebellion groups from across mid Wales joined forces with protesters in Cardiff during the recent Summer Uprising.
The action in Cardiff, which saw a road through the city blocked and information provided to people, was aimed at raising awareness amongst the public about the “unprecedented global emergency” and what needs to be done to try and stop it.
It saw support from members of Extinction Rebellion groups from Aberystwyth, Borth, Machynlleth and Llanidloes.
One of the mid Wales protesters said: “The contingent of mid Wales rebels held banners, locked onto a boat outside the castle entrance and provided information to a background of frustration and patience, anger and support from those waiting.

Melanie, a mid Wales Extinction Rebellion member, said: “I feel terrible disrupting everyone, but we’ve tried the polite way and haven’t been heard enough.
“We are reflecting the emergency. Ultimately, it’s nothing compared to food shortages, seeing homes burning and familiar animals becoming extinct.”
