A MUSIC lover from Barmouth has raised hundreds of pounds for charity.
Conan Ingram, 34, has been confined to a wheelchair all of his life as he suffers with cerebral palsy.
As he gets “a lot of satisfaction helping people helping in similar situations”, Conan organised a music event in The Venue in Barmouth last month to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity, featuring DJs and live artists throughout the night.
Conan – who has attracted top names to Barmouth before now, including Judge Jules, Lisa Lashes and Ultrabeat – was delighted with how the event played out.
“My Dance for Life night went really well,” said Conan, who has just returned from the V Festival in Telford.
“It was a good turnout and a grand total of £1,222 was raised from the evening and some fundraising I did around town.
“I would like to thank Charlie Wright from the venue and Neville Esteban, all the local businesses who donated raffle prizes and the co-op for allowing me to fund-raise outside their premises.
“I would also like to thank all the DJs and artists for their support and Jen Boilstead from the Brain Tumour Charity for all the help and support she provided.”See this week's north editions for the full story, in shops and online on Thursday
