THOUSANDS of pounds have been made available to help promote the Welsh language following a successful cross-country fun run.
Following a hugely successful race in July, Ras yr Iaith now has a total of £12,000 to give away in the form of grants.
The grants are open to any organisation or society based within the areas where the race took place.
Over 2,000 took part in the race, over three days, from Bangor in the north to Llandeilo in the south, passing through Blaenau Ffestiniog, Bala, Dolgellau and Machynlleth en route.
Money raised from the run is now being turned into grants, from £50 to £750, for events that promote the Welsh language and were in someway involved in the event.
Closing Date for applications is 12pm Friday 3 February 2017.
