A concert at Rhydymain Village Hall has raised over £2,000 for charity.

The musical evening took place on 1 November and was organised in memory of Brithdir resident Megan Evans, of Ty Nant.

A total of £2,040 was raised, and the money was divided and presented to two charities, Hospice at Home and Macmillan.

“The night was a great success and the hall was full of people enjoying music and singing; something that was very close to Megan’s heart,” a spokesperson for the event said.

“On behalf of Megan’s family we would like to thank Iwan Parry for leading the night, as well as Bro Meirion choir and Aled Pentre Mawr for an unforgettable evening.

“We would also like to thank anyone that contributed to the success of the evening in any way.”
