On behalf of the Aberystwyth branch of The Royal British Legion, may I through your newspaper take this opportunity to thank the people and business community of Aberystwyth for their continued support of The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Due to their fantastic generosity and goodwill, to date, the 2015 Appeal has realised the sum of £30,000. This takes the total donated since November 2013 to a staggering sum of over £90,000. The generosity of this town is over-whelming and humbling and makes me very proud to be a part of such a community. May I thank you all and wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year. Hoffwn ddweud diolch yn fawr iawn a dymuno Blwyddyn Newydd hapus a llewyrchus i chi i gyd.
