PENPARCAU Community Forum is celebrating after securing a £5,000 grant to help vulnerable young people in the area.
The forum was handed the cash by the Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn in the latest round of grant funding, which saw more than 20 initiatives across the force area share £85,000.
Penparcau Forum said it was “delighted” to receive the funding and that it would help expand its projects for young people.
“This funding will help Penparcau Community Forum create a programme of activities for hard-to-reach vulnerable young people,” a forum spokesperson said.
“The scheme will build self-esteem and confidence by allowing participants to experience activities not normally accessed by young people from disadvantaged areas.”
