A PUBLIC meeting is planned for Friday, 4 March, to discuss plans to close the main post office in Aberystwyth.
Ceredigion Labour Party, with the support of the Communication Workers Union, has organised the cross-party meeting to be held at the Morlan centre between 6pm and 8pm.
There are plans to move the post office out of its Great Darkgate St premises and relocate inside another town centre, with the possible loss of seven jobs.
Confirmed platform speakers so far include Lynn Simpson from the CWU, Mark Williams MP, Baroness Eluned Morgan (Labour Party Assembly Regional List Candidate).
The Green Party and Plaid Cymru will also provide speakers and the mayor of Aberystwyth will be present along with others.
Ceredigion Labour and Plaid Cymru have organised a petition against the closure.
