PUPILS in the Gader catchment have been asked to rack their brains and come up with a name for their new school.

Next year, a controversial all-through school will open in the area spreading across six school sites.

However, the school does not yet have a title.

As such, following the first meeting of the Gader Catchment Area All-through School Shadow Governing Body’s school name, logo, motto and uniform sub-panel, pupils have been tasked with coming up with the school’s new moniker.

Eirian R Hoyle, clerk to the Shadow Governing Body, said: “All the pupils of primary schools in the Gader Catchment Area and pupils at Ysgol y Gader are invited to think of and suggest a name for the Gader catchment area all-through school.

“We would be very grateful if you could discuss suitable names with your friends and family and then send the name to your school’s council as soon as possible.

“All submissions must be in before 26 February.”
