A sponsored walk will take place next month to raise money for Canolfan Felin Fach.

Co-organiser of the walk, Dawn Michelle Sweetman-Jones will take part in the event on 3 October to give something back to the centre, and raise awareness of mental health issues.

“I’ve struggled with my mental health for many years, and the last two years have been particularly difficult as I’ve worked through bereavement,” Dawn explained.

“The support I’ve had from Canolfan Felin Fach, and continue to receive, has been a real lifeline for me. The kindness, understanding and guidance I’ve received have helped me through some incredibly difficult times, and I’m truly grateful for everything they’ve done for me.

“Mental health can affect any one of us, and having the right support can make such a huge difference.

“The walk is open to everyone, and it would be lovely to have people come along, enjoy the walk and be part of the day. Whether you’re a regular walker or simply want to support a great local cause, you’ll be very welcome. And to all my walking friends, it would be great to see some familiar faces along the way too.”

“Thank you for your kindness and support — it really does mean a lot to me and to the centre,” Dawn added.
