CEREDIGION County Council have flown rainbow flags at half-mast at two of their offices in tribute to the victims of a mass shooting in Orlando, Florida on Sunday.

Omar Mateen opened fire in a packed nightclub, leaving 49 people dead and dozens wounded. Police shot the 29-year-old dead after he barricaded himself in a bathroom.

To pay tribute to the victims and their families, the council raised the rainbow flag at their Rheidol and Penmorfa offices in Aberystwyth and Aberaeron respectively.
