HUNDREDS of music lovers turned out to a Llyn Festival over the weekend despite it being partly cancelled due to severe weather conditions.

Organisers of Glass Butter Beach Festival were forced to cancel Saturday’s events after torrential rain and winds of up to 60mph hit the site in Llanbedrog.

The bad weather brought an early finish to the first night of the festival on Friday, with singer and headliner Katy B moving from the main stage to the Backdoor marquee stage due to the high winds.

The gale force winds and heavy downpours also resulted in several tents being flattened and strewn across the site.

Following the cancellation of Saturday many festival goers took to social media to demand a refund on their tickets.

A spokesperson for Glass Butter Beach said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you for the cooperation, understanding and enthusiasm from our fantastic guests for the issues we faced with Glass Butter Beach 2016.

“Unfortunately Saturday had to be cancelled due to the severe weather conditions.

“We worked round the clock to make Sunday’s show go ahead.

“We will be offering full refunds on Saturday day tickets for those who did not use their tickets for Sunday’s show, and partial refunds for a third of the ticket price of all weekend tickets.”
