A REMEMBRANCE service will be held in Aberystwyth this year, organisers have confirmed – but there will be no parade through the town.

The service on Sunday, 14 November will go ahead however, but not at the traditional site of St Michael’s Church. The service will instead be held at the Holy Trinity Church on the Buarth in Aberystwyth between 9.15am and 10.15am.

There will be no parade through the town but a service of remembrance will be held at Castle Point next to the war memorial later in the morning, with organisers asking people to maintain social distance and wear masks when they can.

A Festival of Remembrance is also being held on Thursday, 11 November at 7.30pm in Theatr y Werin at Aberystwyth Arts Centre, featuring Aberystwyth Silver Band and Opera trio, Athena.
