ABERYSTWYTH residents will get the chance to discuss the future of health services in mid Wales as the second community meeting about healthcare takes place tomorrow (Tuesday, 2 February).
The meeting, which will be held at the St Paul’s Methodist Centre with sessions at 2pm and 6pm, is aimed at letting people tell members of the Mid Wales Health Collaborative and local health boards what they want to see in terms of future services.
It follows a meeting in Machynlleth which saw over 100 people attend.
One of the co-chairs of the collaborative, Jack Evershed, said: "These community meetings will give people the chance to meet the collaborative team and be actively involved in how our local healthcare services are shaped.
"There is no better test of the success of the collaborative than to ask the public if we are heading in the right direction."
Topics expected to be discussed include Bronglais Hospital, mental health, primary care and community services, with views being discussed by the collaborative in future meetings.
Further community meetings will be organised to allow the public to monitor the progress of the collaborative.
