CURIOUS residents in Dwyfor and Meirionnydd have the opportunity to learn more about the area’s past.
Caernarfon Record Office is hosting a taster session today (Saturday, 21 January) and are eager to welcome anyone to see the historical and cultural treasures that’s available to see.
If you have thought of visiting Caernarfon’s archives, which contain exhibits from all over the county, the chance has arrived.
Gwynedd Council’s Caernarfon Record Office is offering an opportunity to see what is kept at the archives and how to go about searching for the content.
Blaenau Ffestiniog councillor Mandy Williams-Davies, Gwynedd Council Cabinet member for Economy said: “Gwynedd Archives contain many interesting documents.
“As we’ve entered a new year, why not take on a new hobby or interest?
“It is an opportunity to connect with the area’s history and culture.
“I would encourage anyone who is interested in local history to book a place on the taster sessions at Caernarfon Record Office, everyone is more than welcome”
The Welsh medium session will be held at 11am until 1pm and the English medium taster session will be held at 2pm until 4pm.
