A two-day forum has been organised for Dwyfor Meirionnydd residents to take part in discussions with local politicians, climate experts and community stakeholders.

The forum, organised by national climate charity Hope for the Future and Build Back Better Llyn and Eifionydd, will take place on 20 and 27 March, 9.15am–3.45pm.

The forum will allow people to discuss the sustainable future of the area and aims to amplify voices currently underrepresented in the climate movement in Dwyfor Meirionnydd.

Participants in the climate forum will be paid for their time.

This forum will be an opportunity for local people from a variety of backgrounds to come together to discuss and agree the priorities for Gwynedd, and to communicate these to their elected representatives.

Over the two consecutive Saturdays, forum participants will hear from policy experts, discuss priorities for the future of the local area, receive communications training for engaging with politicians and present their ideas to local MPs, MSs and councillors.

The event seeks to actively involve those who are currently underrepresented in these climate conversations in Dwyfor Meirionnydd, including farmers, teachers and others in education, the tourism sector, business community, youth groups and the over 65s.

Participants do not need to have prior knowledge of climate change, but should be a resident of the local constituency of Dwyfor Meirionnydd and be 16 years of age or over.
