A RISING star from Blaenau Ffestiniog has landed an electrifying role in one of the UK’s most beloved musicals.
Callum Evans, 21, has recently enjoyed success playing parts in the West End’s Miss Saigon, a UK tour of LazyTown and most recently, a Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime in Porthcawl.
Now Callum is once again treading the boards and shall be playing Eugene in the smash hit musical Grease.
Eugene is the affable but goofy pupil who is occasionally picked on by Danny Zuko and the rest of the T-Birds.
The ‘original’ high-school musical, Grease features a litany of toe-tapping songs and dance routines based on the ‘70s film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John as lovestruck teenagers.
In the upcoming UK tour, Callum will be joined on stage by Tom Parker, from the UK’s top boy band The Wanted, and Danielle Hope, winner of the BBC’s Over the Rainbow talent show.
