CRICCIETH RNLI are mourning the loss of long-serving crew member.

Staff from Criccieth’s RNLI Lifeboat Station have paid their respects to one of their former crew members, Griff Davies Owen or ‘Griff Bach’ as he was know at the station.

Griff had served as a crew member and helmsman on the lifeboat for 18 years in total, before emigrating to New Zealand in late 1990.

The station’s flag will fly at half mast for the next week to commemorate Griff.
