Traffic lights causing motorists delays in Bow Street are set to stay in place until the start of March.
The three-way lights were installed on Monday, 6 January, between the Welsh Black pub and Spar store along the main A487 through the village.
The lights have added around 10 to 15 minutes to the daily commute for people travelling into Aberystwyth, and occasionally even longer.
The work is being carried out by Scottish Power due to the new railway station being built in the village.
The work is not expected to be completed until 2 March.
Local county councillor Paul Hinge said: “The work they're doing is to put the new electrical lines in for the new Bow Street station. Inevitably there will be delays.
“But this is for a short period of time and I would ask for people’s forbearance over the next couple of weeks as it is for the new Bow Street station.”
