Rotarians in Pwllheli have handed out cheques to local good causes totalling £5,000.

The money was raised by Pwllheli Rotary Club’s annual Christmas fundraising event in 2018.

The annual fundraiser invites local community groups to join Santa on his float visiting the villages around the Llyn Peninsula throughout the month of December.

Funds raised benefit the local community by being shared out equally among the supporting groups.

Pwllheli Rotary Club have thanked all the community groups for helping out and local villagers for their ongoing support.

The money will go towards a number of different groups that helped during the tour, including Cylch Meithrin Morfa Nefyn, Cylch Meithrin Nefyn, Cylch Meithrin Buan, Cylch Meithrin Chwilog, Cylch Meithrin yr Eifl, Cylch Meithrin Llanbedrog, Cylch Meithrin Bryncroes, Cylch Edern, Ysgol Cymerau, Ysgol Sarn Bach, Ysgol Abersoch, Ysgol Foel Gron Mynytho, Ysgol Bro Plenydd, Ysgol Pont y Gof, Ysgol Edern, Cae Chwarae Edern, CEFN, Pwllheli Food Bank, Wales Air Ambulance, Cue Games for Schools, Pwllheli Football Club and Pwllheli Football Club Juniors.
