WALES rugby star Jonathan Thomas will be heading to Pwllheli this summer to help raise funds in memory of an 18-year-old teenager who passed away due to an epilepsy condition.

Dylan Morus Roberts, of Llanaelhaearn, died on 7 May, 2007 due to a condition known as Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy.

SUDEP is attributed if a person with epilepsy dies suddenly and unexpectedly, and no obvious cause of death can be found.

It is sometimes called sudden unexplained death in epilepsy.

Dylan’s siblings, Llinos Williams and Carwyn Roberts, have been tirelessly fundraising and raising awareness of the condition since their brother’s death and in their upcoming fundraiser have received support from former Wales’ international forward Jonathan Thomas.

Last year Jonathan was forced to retire from rugby at the age of 32 after being diagnosed with epilepsy.

The rugby star will hold a talk at Pwllheli Rugby Club on Welsh rugby and the Six Nations. All funds will go towards The Dylan Roberts Sunflower Tribute Fund.

The event will be held on 16 June at 7.30pm and a buffet will be provided on the night.
