A Santa sleigh tour has raised over £1,700 for charity.

The RAOB Ardudwy Lodge is thanking communities across Meirionnydd for supporting their tour this year.

The group raised £1,713 for the Wales Air Ambulance by visiting communities across Meirionnydd and bringing a smile to the faces of people young and old.

Gareth John Williams, secretary of the lodge said: “The event went very well. We were a little surprised with the reaction we had from all the villages we visited. The faces on the young and old will remain with us.

“The amount raised was fantastic and there’s still money coming in. We would like to thank everyone for their support. Also, we want to thank Santa and his elves for all their hard work. We will be back next year.”
