Santa is to bring a little Christmas cheer to villages in and around Aberystwyth this week as he travels around in his sleigh.

Joe Wilcox from Light Em Up will take Santa Claus around in his sleigh to villages such as Bow Street, Talybont and Penrhynoch later this week.

Father Christmas will also visit Llanbadarn and Penparcau having already been to Borth over the weekend.

"We thought it would be good to put something on to brighten up the local communities’ lives; something that we could do while maintaining social distancing between us and the community," said Joe, who is the managing director of Light Em Up.

"Just getting a wave from the big man in red could make a child’s Christmas."

The Santa sleigh will also be raising money for the local RNLI crew.
