The Aberystwyth Photomarathon, which last six hours and covers six themes, returns next month and photographers of all skill levels are being encouraged to enter.
The event has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2010 with photographers roaming the streets of the town trying to capture the perfect image.
Six hours, six themes, six photos – it can mean only one thing – the Aberystwyth Photomarathon is back. This unique photographic challenge returns in October and is inviting people to register and participate. If you think you can take six pictures on six themes, in six hours, all you need is a digital camera or mobile phone.
Mari Siôn, one of the organisers, said: “Photography is so accessible these days, anyone can take photos with either a camera or a phone.
"But the discipline of the photomarathon in this digital age is a great challenge for competitors.
"They have six themes throughout the day and only six photos can be on their device at 4pm – the end of the competition.
"The feedback we receive is consistently positive and it’s great to see people returning every year with the goal of winning title of Aberystwyth Photomarathon champion.”
Registration for this year’s Photomarathon is now open and the event will be held on Saturday, 26 October at the Morlan Centre, Aberystwyth.
Registration is free of charge and to do so email [email protected] or visit FfotoAber’s Facebook or Twitter pages for more information.
