Editor,

While the defining issue in the election may be Brexit, it will also be an opportunity for people to decide whether Boris Johnson should be elected Prime Minister.

Note that I did not say re-elected because Mr Johnson was never ‘elected’; he was imposed on the country by 160,000 members of the Conservative Party.

The case against Mr Johnson is compelling. It is not only his casual acquaintance with the truth that makes him unfit to lead this country, it is his equally tenuous knowledge of the facts.

But fortunately for the country, those who represent ‘the people’, our elected MPs in Westminster, have stood firm and have shown themselves to be men and women of integrity. As also have the judges on the Supreme Court.

Let’s hope that on 12 December the UK electorate will show similar resolve and send this man packing.
