POLICE are appealing for information after a Ceredigion father-of-two was killed in a motorbike crash in Carmarthenshire.
Tributes have been paid to 40-year-old John Griffiths - known to family and friends as Bonehead - who died on Sunday, 23 October, after his motorbike was involved in a crash with a quadbike in Cilgwyn Forestry, Llangadog.
A 22-year-old man from the Haverfordwest area has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and police enquiries are ongoing.
Mr Griffiths, formerly of Holyhead, who lived in Ciliau Aeron at the time of his death, leaves behind two children Jade and Ryan Griffiths, who live in Ponterwyd.
In a statement released by police on their behalf, Mr Griffiths’ family said he will be “dearly missed by all his friends and family”.
A police spokesperson said: “At 4.40pm on Sunday, 23 October, an emergency call was received requesting ambulance attendance to forestry land near Cilgwyn Mansion, Llangadog, Carmarthenshire.
“John Griffiths, a 40-year-old motorcyclist from the Ciliau Aeron area, had sustained serious injuries as a result of a collision with a quad bike.
“Paramedics and police attended but tragically he died at the scene.”
Anyone who was present in the forestry at the time of the collision is asked to contact Pc 766 Roger Jones at the Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Unit on 101.
