TENOVUS Cancer Care has thanked shoppers for helping to raise almost £800 at a Singathon in Aberystwyth.

Entertainment was provided by David Hilliard, The Trill-bies, Ruth Morris, Brenig and Aberystwyth Silver Band and the Tenovus Cancer Care Aberystwyth Sing with Us choir.

Emily Wells, Tenovus Cancer Care community fund-raiser for west Wales, said the event had been a big success and helped raise money for the charity.

She said: “Events like our Singathon are a fantastic way of raising awareness of the charity, as well as funds so we can continue our work across Wales.

"The people of Aberystwyth really made us feel welcome helping us to raise an incredible amount. A huge thank you to everyone who came down to support us on the day.”
