Madam,
Re the people of Fairbourne walking out of the sea defences meeting, it must be so frustrating for these people, indeed any people living at the edge of the sea, to feel they are not going to have full protection from the council, or the country.
I feel it would be frugal for the powers-that-be to get these issues sorted and have a strategy to help and protect people from living in fear of the future of rising sea levels.
The councils need to have a plan in place for what could be a disaster waiting to happen.
This plan should be in place, to cover any emergency cropping up in the future.
If they don’t the consequences could be the biggest catastrophe to hit Wales in the 21st century.
This plan, if thought out before this, would save millions of pounds, so I would urge thoughts on this to be sorted asap.
Time and the tide wait for no one...
Yours etc, Jean Miles, Harlech.
