Madam,

Well done to all the townspeople who attended the recent meeting on Bodlondeb home and in fairness thanks to the top-table guests who may have given their time.

What is needed at the care home in Penparcau, Aberystwyth, is some radical thinking. There is no need to close the home – it needs to be sold for the preferable £1 to a care home company who would be able to put the money into repairs that are needed and breathe new life into the building. There are many care home companies operating in the UK and they need to be approached. Someone in the council needs to get on with the case and put an end to the uncertainty that has dogged Bodlondeb for far too long.

Make a start, get it on the market, find the right people and let it continue to be the great asset it has been to our fair town.

Yours etc,

Don Woodward, Waunfawr, Aberystwyth.
