FOUR Gwynedd narrow gauge railways are hoping to benefit from training to help their staff provide better customer service.

The four railways, who are all part of the Great Little Trains of Wales group, sent representatives (pictured) to a special training session for the Service with Spirit scheme aimed at improving customer service.

The representatives will now pass on that training to colleagues at their individual railways - Talyllyn, Ffestiniog, Welsh Highland and Bala Lake - following the one-day workshop.

Stephen Greig, the customer service manager for the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways, said: “It is essential that we are always improving our standards to provide an experience for our visitors that exceeds their expectations and captures their imagination.

“Collaborating in this way is going to help each railway share ideas on how to deliver these levels of excellent service and sustain them for people to visit and enjoy in the future.”
