Work on the new Bow Street railway station will start soon, with the development aimed at supporting businesses and helping cut car usage, Transport for Wales has said.
The £8m development was given planning permission on 25 September, with a Transport for Wales spokesperson saying work would start “later in the autumn”.
The scheme has been welcomed by local councillor Paul Hinge, who has said the development will be a boost for local transport.
Transport for Wales has said that it will provide improved transport links for local businesses and research centres, including IBERS, but will see trains cancelled between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth in November while work takes place. A replacement bus service will be in place.
