A weather warning for strong winds has been issued for this weekend as Storm Hannah sweeps across southern parts of Wales.

The yellow weather warning, issued by the Met Office, comes into effect from 9pm on Friday and runs until 3pm on Saturday.

It warns of a spell of strong winds from Aberystwyth and south along the coast and over a large swathe of south Wales.

The winds are likely to disrupt travel with some road and rail delays.

It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities could be affected by spray and/or large waves

The wind will be accompanied by strong spells of rain, putting this coming weekend in stark contrast with the sun-baked bank holiday last weekend.
