A BRYNCRUG dog trainer and her two dogs have swept the board at a national competition.
Sally Friswell usually spends her time training dogs and handlers around Gwynedd, but recently put her own skills to the test at the Adams Dog Agility show held at Alrewas in Staffordshire.
Sally and dogs Wyn and Nel scooped five awards in total.
Three-year-old working Cocker Spaniel, Wyn, enjoyed three wins and also qualified for a major final next year.
The wins mean that Wyn has moved up to the lofty heights of grade six in the agility rankings.
Sally’s other dog, Nel, is a seven-year-old Border Collie and also had two wins, moving up to grade four in agility rankings.
The award-winning canine carer trains her dogs for agility up to three times a week at the arena at Bwlchgwyn farm, Arthog.
From this base she runs her business Dysynni Dogs which caters for all aspects of dog training.
Speaking of her success, Sally said: “The courses set were very tough which was to be expected at a National Show, but both dogs were brilliant and all the training we have put in paid off.
“To get five wins at the show was way beyond our expectations. Both Nel and Wyn were fantastic!”
